Contemporary floor lamp FOLD

Contemporary floor lamp FOLD by Alexander Taylor

Contemporary floor lamp FOLD by Alexander Taylor - Design/2005 Description/ The process of folding sheet steel to achieve three-dimensional structure earned the series of Fold lights their name. The T1 (smallest) Fold light is manufactured from just a single sheet of steel, folded several times, with no need for additional fixings.

The resulting silhouetted form of the Fold is representative of the basic outline of a traditional light, a reference that is furthered by the addition of a classic braided fabric cable. These nostalgic references to traditional lighting are made all the more potent by the comparatively modern materials and construction techniques applied in the manufacture of the lights. The Fold light is available as a table light in two sizes and matching floor light.
